jasper3
just got in from a couple of hours walk around the field , bagged a couple of bunnies, but had a fox walk in front of me, 150 yds, im my opinion, to far for me to take a shot with the 17hmr so he walked off, tried to squeek him in he did stop and have a look then a quick stratch, i could hear him thinking.. ****** nice few hours though

jasper3
I would have stayed out till dark oclock if i had seen a fox and hoped to have seen him closer and maybe got a shot at him. ile save him for another night, he ain't causing to many problems as my permission is cattle , when the neighbours start complaining, ile have him, for me they need to become a pest, i know others will drop everyone they see, and thats fine, i have my morals and i am lucky enough not to be pressurised by the farmer..wich is great because it gives me steady shooting.. now !!! my mate on the other hand is upto his neck in them and will often drop many a week, but his permission is sheep based and they take many lambs..so he needs to takeout as many as possible
Mr_Logic
Good call. At 150 yards the HMR is light on a fox.
