digger
in todays shooting times there is a full page ad for the latest beretta silver pigeon range and they do 12,20,28 and 36g versions.apologies for dumbness but is a 36g a posh/new way of saying .410 or is it a true guage/bore size ? if its the latter then i have one question, why ? milo_05
Well, it's not new but .410 is sometimes called a 36 guage and you sometimes see 36 on .410 carts. However this is not actually the true guage in the balls made of a pound of lead, this would make it more like a 70 guage, not sure where it came from. Cranfield
I have also heard the .410 referred to as a 36 gauge, but that was quite some time ago. Thats what they must mean, a trifle pretentious methinks.
