wymberley
With the doubler - for my money the Sony lens is the better option than the Pulsar "in house" version - and, when necessary, additional IR, the sight sees as far as the Hornet can shoot foxes. As we're talking 200yds, what is often forgotten is that the IR beam must also carry that far when it's necessary due to poor ambient light. bornfree
I have one on my 243 at the moment{just got a WMR to put it on}and use it for foxes.as standard it works up to 100 maybe 120 yards on foxes but thats far enough for me as i have shot 8 with it so far the furthest was 95yards and the closest was 18yards.on rabbits(which i have not shot with it}i would think you could go to about 65yards. rangefinding is a problem though.my foxing is a bit specialized as its in fields with ducks and geese in pens so i lamp the field with a red filter to pick up the eyes the fox normally runs off{some stupid ones dont}i drive to the pen it was in and wait they usually come back to the same duck or goose they were eating.so thats why the close range. bornfree
