TaxiDriver
What's the difference between Eley 'Firsts' and Eley 'Blues' ? I asked for Firsts but the chap in the shop didn't want to break into a slab (I only wanted a box) So he said he'd give me the next ones up for the same price, came out with a box of Eley Blue's and said they were "2 steps up". So what's the difference ?
DSPUK
One's in black case and one in blue case Seriously I shoot both - and have to say both are good cartridges - Blues are about £15 a thousand more - kick just a bit more but to be honest if someone loaded for you I doubt if you could tell difference.- I have 1k's of Firsts but next stock up time I might go for blues - just my head - Blues in fibre are better than Firsts in fibre - well they seen to be. I shot a mixture of Challengers/Superbs/Blues/Firsts the other week and to be honest the extra cost for good cart's are wasted on me. TaxiDriver
Well, First or Blues ?? Been out this morning and makes no flippin difference - still hit diddly squat I shot a "First" in one barrel and a "Blue" in the second barrel, no discernable difference in kick. noise or results So I'll be saving me money and maybe buy ones with more lead in them ie 28rgam or 30gram instead of 24grams
Thunderbird
Eley Superbs are good and as far as I thought are still considered a mid-price cartridge though having checked Just Cartridges want 196 quid a thousand.
DSPUK
TD If you are not hitting Diddly squat then you need some leassons - nowt a first/blue won't hit even 24g.-- don't waste money on more expensive cartridges. Dave
