kent
why carry on using them for 2 years if you knew they caused problems Firstly because i was using them on Roe (which they did very well on) Fallow etc were just too much for them and foxes not enough and i actually wrongly assumed at the time it was the ".243" problem that many talk of but actually only exists in the form of incorrect bullet selection for purpose. I shot all the foxes while stalking, i still will shoot foxes while stalking with inapropriate for fox "deer" bullets but use different placement to combat the clean pass through chest shot. Been through the bigger gun thing and came out the other side. Its all a learning curve, i certainly didn't start out with the knoledge i hold now, if i listened purely to others i wouldn't even own a .243 today. Bullet performance and terminal effect has become a bit of an obsession with myself these days, perhaps is stems from the time i cured this initial problem rather than listen to the noisy crowd?
