Spara Dritto
I was watching a DVD and it said George Digweeds dog is nearly 100% deaf - most likely from sitting in the hide with the crack of the gun going off all the time. They said you can have the dog sat away from the hide. What’s your take on this subject? Does your dog sit in the hide with you? fenboy
My cocker will hppily sit in the hide with me all day ,but if I tried to get him to sit away from it he would be in the next county the first time a hare or rabbit etc was spotted

ziplex
I always make sure the Springer is sat to my side or back a little, never shoot directly over her, ie: barrels always way out in front of her. Whether that'll make a difference I don't know but the crack of a 12 bore is significantly louder if in front/level with it, either way she doesn't seem to mind
