If you plan on shooting edible wildlife get some advice if not but most importantly stay safe and only shoot at what you know you can! As for cartridges ask what game load the shop has in cheap and use that! The only thing I would be picky about is using 32gr (or more) of #5 for rabbits, they are a tad tougher than a pigeon.
