As titled my next 4x4 to visit is a 02 grand vitara that is hard to get into gear especially when cold when warm nit so bad but if you double the clutch it works better. Could this just be the clutch or are there any servos etc on them. Also anyone had one of these what they Like off road. I know there small but an old lady has had this for the last 8 years and is clean as a whistle even underneath unlike some I've visited

just to update i have bought the above vehicle clean as a whistle. The clutch does require pumping before gear selection so im not sure it is the clutch. I parked on a hill to test out the 4 wheel drive and started in 2 wheel and it started spinning the wheels no clutch slip. so looks like its some sort of hydraulic issue any help would be greatly appreciated

if it has a hydrulic clutch cylinder it may be due to air in system and may be a simple bleed job.if clutch works ok when you pump it then it would point to the sytem having air in it.hope thats all it easy and an easy fix.
