Gnome of the Woods Posted August 28, 2011 Report Share Posted August 28, 2011 (edited) I assume it is a beech stock, from memory they are lacquered and not oiled. If you are not planning to sell it any time soon then just live with it. Otherwise you can strip the lacquer, soak and then sand the marks and the use an oil finish.
