il cacciatore
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2...0695956&pl=true What will that smoke be? Edited May 3, 2006 by il cacciatore
Zapp
They say that the wooden foregrip catches fire, but I'm not sure. I've seen a RPK-47 (the light machine gun version, which also has a wooden foregrip) fired like that with consecutive 75 round drums, and it smoked like hell, just like in the video, but it wasnt the wood catching fire or even smouldering. The whole weapon was firecly hot (hence why the firer stops using the foregrip after a couple of drums), but the guys (Polish motor rifle troops) just whacked on a load of coolant and carried on. The whole AK family are very, very frightening weapons!
il cacciatore
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=1850517 Apparently the US troops in Iraq prefer the AK over their own rifles. Would really like to see the AK 47 durability test video but cant find it anywhere.
Zapp
A mate of mine who I shared a room with in the army is now doing private security in Iraq and he swears by the AK's. You cant argue with success!
