M.I.A
I was at one of my permissions this morning and there was a constant stream of canada geese flying over head ( i assume its a flightline? ) Anyway am i ok to shoot them whilst over my land? I have permission to shoot any legal quarry Also if i can shoot them what cartridge is the best to use, my shotgun is not steel proofed. A local shop supplys the kent tungsten matrix stuff will that be ok? what shot size should i use i think they are either a no1 or no3 shot size Thanks
TJ91
either no 1 or 3 in that tungsten through a quarter choke will do the job. keep the range sensible as they are big birds and yes now the season is open you can have a go at them! cockercas
FORGET the body. Think of the head as a partridge and aim to shoot that. When flighting geese I use full choke and don't shoot at them to high. Also don't shoot the goose at the front. Take a young one from the back.
