Dekers
SPECIFICALLY THOSE THAT OWN OR USED TO OWN A Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30x50 Rifle Scope. I have considered one of these in the past, but it's going through my mind again, if YOU have had first hand experience of this specific scope I would be very grateful for your opinion. Everything, the good the bad and the ugly. Many thanks. Edited September 3, 2011 by Dekers

Mr_Logic
I had one for a day. i was unimpressed. The top end was milky, and it's too expensive for that. Get the elite 4200 series, 6-24x50 tactical and enjoy.

Get the elite 4200 series, 6-24x50 tactical and enjoy. I'm easy with that magnification, although I would be happier with something that started 3 or 4x. I am really not that familiar with them, although I understand they are quite well regarded, and I want Mildot, is that available in the 4200? cooter
I have one, and use it on my .223, which gets a lot of use. I can only compare it to other scopes I have, and those I have used (Meopta, Falcon Menace, Sightron SIII, Legend and a few sub £200 scopes). When I first bought it I was comparing it to a far lesser scope, and I thought the other scope was better. Now I have been using for the last two or three years I can not fault it. I target shoot out to 650yards with it regularly, and have gone to 800, and it dials in and back without missing a beat. The firefly ret is far better than any illuminated ret I have used. If you go up to 30X on a clear day, ie no humidity/haze, it is clear, and is about the same as my Sightron, on 20X it is very clear what ever the conditions. I have used it a lot in last light, and whilst it is not as good as the Meopta (7 mag fixed), there is very little in it. The mildot ret is a little thick, but that is a personal choice, and does not distract whilst shooting. If I was looking for another scope that would be used mainly for targets up to 500yds I would buy another, beyond that I would look to a Sightron, PMII or NF with a fine or target dot ret. Just my opinion. HTH
