Lee Auto Disk Powder Measure

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me if the Lee Pro auto-disk update kit (90377 and as listed in Krank's catalogue on page 28) can be used to upgrade the standard Lee Auto Disk Powder Measure? The hopper and cover, the red, square type for pistol calibres, on my turret press is really flimsy and the plastic that holds the screws to attach the hopper is cracking. I could get another hopper of the same type but I fear it is a poor piece of kit. The sharing of your experience would be appreciated.

The problem with that powder measure is that the screws are being over tightened ,I had the same problem 20 odd years ago (twice) but then when I finally replaced the hopper I just tightened it down until it was a snug fit not until it felt tight with the screwdriver and now I still use the same powder measure and hopper after many thousands of rounds with no problems of cracked plastic.

Thanks for that, Andy H. I think you have a good point. However, I do feel the hopper is weak and part of my problem arises from the fact that I have to unscrew it fairly frequently to change the disks for different calibres and loads. If the upgrade could be made I would go down that road.

Thanks again. I'll keep your wise words in mind.

Short answer is yes it does, about $18 from Titan Reloading in the US and they do ship to the UK, they also have the Charge Bar at $8. I just got a couple of full length sizing die mandrils sent over, $3.96 shipping and got here in 8 days.

If you just want another hopper pm me and I'll send you one as I bought 3 extra ones when I ordered my classic turret press kit.
