luckytrigger
Yesterday evening i had a trip out to a dairy farm i regularly used to corvid and rat shoot with shottie and pcp. This time i was on more of a recce having not been for so long i just wanted an idea of what was about. I pulled into the yard and spoke to the farmer who said there were more rabbits about this year which i thought sounded good! I took the little Ultra out of its bag and fitted the camcorder and after putting on my faceveil had a slow walk through one of the cow sheds using some of the framework and machinery as cover. I spotted a couple of magpies and crows at around 30 meters away and managed to drop one of the crows. The other crow and the magpies flew off a short distance making a racket. i managed to get to within 15yds again moving very slowly again using farm machinery and old pallets etc as cover and managed to get a good headshot on one of the magpies. This was all i finished with but i only had a short time at the farm but as already mentioned was really just a recce. i had a look around a couple of fields bordering the cow sheds before it got dark and was pleased to see a good number of rabbits not to mention a massive amount of rooks going into roost in a nearby wood. These will be getting some attention from the shottie over the coming winter ..
