Ultrafire torch - Filters ? ? ?

Does any know if its possible to get red filters for Ultrafire torches ?

But want a red filter and also a mount to attach to my scope / rifle !

Have a look on dealextreme.com. They do some nifty universal scope mounts that are cheap as chips.

 

I got a WF-501B from there and Ledray filters fit that but a word of caution. There is very little Red in an LED light so a red filter will really knock the range down. I use mine with Amber on it and that's not too bad but for spotting you can't beat a good Halogen/Xenon bulb in the end.

I've just bought the Tracer Ledray Tactical 400 which has a claimed 400lumens, 170 metre beam.

Reality is that when you put on the red filter that 170mtr bean is going to about 50mtrs tops :o

 

Beware of likelyhood of import duties and vat if buying cheap from good ol USofA

You can order flip up amber lens covers for scopes. Simply measure your torch OD and order an appropriate amber filter. I find amber just as good on rabbits, once they get lamped a few times it doesn't really matter what colour you use. As already stated red knocks the granny out of an LEDs range.
