Spaniel
Just wondering if anyone have used the HiViz Birdbuster Magnetic Sight from Browning Are they as good as the other easy beads i have seen and as they are magnetic do they stay on the barrel well. Just thinking that as I have a couple of guns might be an better option as i could use this on both shotguns instead of buying Two Cheers

Peathag
Just wondering if anyone have used the HiViz Birdbuster Magnetic Sight from Browning Are they as good as the other easy beads i have seen and as they are magnetic do they stay on the barrel well. Just thinking that as I have a couple of guns might be an better option as i could use this on both shotguns instead of buying Two Cheers A friend of mine had one and out of interest I borrowed it whilst we were out and about to see what difference it would make. Unfortunately I found myself staring at it whilst trying to shoot and subsequently missed the birds that I was shooting at. Since then they have become very popular with shooters but as far as I can see they are only a training aid for dry mounting as the shooter must focus on the target and not the bead. In point of fact a fews years ago I was loading on a double gun Grouse day and the gentleman I was loading for had no beads whatsoever on either guns, naturally I asked if he had removed them for any reason and he said that they had melted (they were plastic) through continuous shooting and had never found the need to replace them - he was the best shot I have ever seen and is also a top shooting coach in the North. For £16.00 I don't suppose it is going to break the bank and if you don't like it I am sure a you could sell it on. Let me know how you get on with it. EdSolomons
I have never had a bead on any on my guns, and unless you have a problem with cross dominance or shoot a very flat gun I would save the £16 and buy 75 more shells!
