JustJon
Can anyone help with this one? Down in the South for a meeting next Thursday morning with the team - could head out clay shooting in the afternoon with a couple of experienced shots (licenses etc etc). We're meeting to the south west of Southampton, South of Lyndhurst. Looking at the Directory the most likely ground seems to be Owls Lodge Shooting School but I'd appreciate any other options and any views on this ground as obviously I've not been there! Thanks for taking the time to read.
tarn2215
Owls lodge is very good. Best ground in the Southampton area I would say.
berties
the Spitfire shoot at Stockbridge is a thought, its open on Thursday for practice and has a good sporting layout
ShootingStars
IMO it depends what level you shoot at.Spitfire Shoot really caters for the novice,or people just out for the fun of it....all pretty easy targets. I've never shot at Owls Lodge,so can't really comment on that. There isn't a great deal in Southampton, but a short drive (45mins) to Wiltshire will have you at Wylye Valley or The Shooting Club at Upavon. Both very well run shoots and a good mix of targets.
