Hi there just wonderingg what the battery packs are like not the lithium ones I thinking about 14 amp and going 75 watt bulb in my lightforce 170 also how long do u reckon I'll get lamping cheers sx3

Most people will find a 14AH pack lasts a night with a 75w lamp.

Fact is it weights a ton, are you in a position to run 2 x 7ah or 9ah batteries and change them over during an evening, or is that not practical?

The lithium Ion will be FAR lighter but far heavier on the pocket!

Watts=volts x amps

so a 75watt lamp will draw approx 6 amps.

A 14Ah battery will nominally supply 14amps for 1 hour, or 7 amps for 2 hours or 1 amp for 14 hours etc. Therefore you should get about 2 hours maybe a bit more. There is no point trying to get much more accurate than that. To be more accurate the simple calcs need replacing by looking at a discharge curve for your battery.

Remember this is actual lamp on time.

It should give you a rough idea. :good:

Or just read Dekers post above :good:

Cosider not trying to burn thier eyes out and getting two smaller lithium iron batteries. The only downside to these is they don't fade out they just stop. I now would not consider any other type, light handy and long lasting. As someone who started with motorbike batteries that spilled then burgular alarm ones were contacts were always getting damaged i would not go back :good:
