Davy Holt
Hiya, After a busy week at the new job I decided to head out with the triple for a couple of hours tonight and see if there were any foxes about on the farm. I got there only to discover WW3 going on at the flight pond on the next farm... great I though no chance of Mr fox showing.:( I decided to stick it out for a while since I was there, even though it started to rain. I sat in the field for about 20 minutes waiting and the next thing I knew I was lit up with a lamp by the guy that shoots on the next farm, a quick blast of the lamp back to let him know I was there and he was caught again seen him quickly move off.. I'm sure he would be pleased if I lamped over his ground Anyway about 10 min later I picked up a pair of eyes heading my way about 400 yards out, it moved off to the left behind a fence making sure that there was no chance I could take a shot at it :( It worked down the fence and into the field I was in but still no chance of a shot, I could clearly see he was a big dog in the lamp beam so was quite keen to get him, then for no apparent reason he ran off at full speed to the right and eventually stopped and sat down side on to me right at the bit of ground I zero my sights at 200 yards out. I could ask for a better target and as It was a perfectly safe shot so I lined him up in the cross hairs on his engine room and sent a 50 grain V-MAx his way and he dropped like a sack of spuds and didnt even twitch.. another result for the triple
coyotemaster
Nice job Davy, I am sure Mr. Fox wasn't keen on Hornadys surprise package! Kind of funny about the guy next lamping and getting lamped in return. That is beautiful wood on the .222.

Davy Holt
Hiya Jim, Me and stevie were out foxing on friday night to we thought it was you making that racket it was like bonfire night a few mins after a load of geese flew over us it sounded like there was loads of them they must have been shooting at them it was the duck shooters that were making all the noise as per usual, they must have fired off around 50 cartridges before I fired my single round and terrorised everyone to boot Not long after they finished, someone started with fireworks over near the pond the geese were on, thats what put them up... they flew over me but you would have needed an ack ack gun to reach them and there must have been a few hundred of them.
