bunny_blaster
Anyone noticed the pigeons starting to flock up? I had a drive about this morning and found the birds in flocks of 50-200 mainly hanging around clover but a a fair few are starting to build up around the fields of rape. super sharp shooter
Im just waiting for the farmer to call to say they have flocked up and im there. I spoke to mr farmer 2 weeks ago and he said the start of november we should start to see bigger numbers. I might have a go next saturday just to see how the new permission goes and have a look around and from what the farmer said it will be over winter rape. cant wait
Mightymariner
This year I think I have seen bigger numbers than for many years, and some big flocks 70-100 birds too. They are all over the place, we have had some good shooting on stubbles last couple of weeks. No shortage of birds in Lincs - sorry anybody with few in their parts! Kes
I have been watching fequent and large flocks - maybe 50 -100 birds fly over the house in the mornings and late afternoons. This 'migration' started the day f the first frosts in Scotland. I have never seen it so pronounced since '63 and so obviously arly season. I reckon its going to be a cold one and soon. (it could of course be that we are due a sunami or and earthq.....................
