Pigeons flocking up

Im just waiting for the farmer to call to say they have flocked up and im there. I spoke to mr farmer 2 weeks ago and he said the start of november we should start to see bigger numbers. I might have a go next saturday just to see how the new permission goes and have a look around and from what the farmer said it will be over winter rape.

I have been watching fequent and large flocks - maybe 50 -100 birds fly over the house in the mornings and late afternoons. This 'migration' started the day f the first frosts in Scotland. I have never seen it so pronounced since '63 and so obviously arly season. I reckon its going to be a cold one and soon.

(it could of course be that we are due a sunami or and earthq.....................

hi there

had a walk down the fields ths morning noticed a small flock of woodys on the rape about 30 ish first birds i have seen on there,noticed rape quite tall already about shin high is this early.anyway looks like a trip down soon with the gun and decoys to bag a few.
