Hunter
Get a can of motorcycle chain lube, or 'wax'. Spray this genrously over the spring, and it will remove the twang. Dont buy expensive spring lube, as its a waste of money. Motorcycle chain lube is designed to be 'no fling', in otherwords it is made to stick to metal at high speed, so its perfect for a spring. I would give you some if you lived nearby as I have loads of cans of the stuff for my bikes

roblade
with airguns put it on a little at a time, you will probably need to strip and relube many times before you get the right amount of grease, after the first couple fo times it gets easier LOL ROB
