cliff 87
Hi i have just seen a BSA SuperSport for 1oo o.n.o Description Used, quite old BSA SuperSport. As the pictures show, there are a few knocks and scratches on the stock and some blueing missing with slight rust on the barrel. Scope also has scratches but never lost zero yet. This is far from mint condition but would make an excellent knock about or starter gun and it still out shoots me. if this worth getting
HDAV
I had one as my first gun £100 seems pretty cheap as long as it seals and shoots then a bit of TLC and it should be fine. is it a private sale or a shop? (guess private) It's half the new price and the next cheapest on GT is £140 so as long as it works its a lot of gun for the money

HDAV
well it will be under 12ft/lbs probably around 10.5 when new.... but get it chrono'd to check as i remember pretty accurate as with any air rilfe (rifle in fact) the range is a combination of shooter, quarry, rifle and ammo in that order IMIO Edited October 27, 2011 by HDAV

HDAV
Not as good as the HW95 that's what i swapped my supersport for. Still a good rifle and for 100 notes other options are cheap chineese springers. Edited October 27, 2011 by HDAV

HDAV
hole in the end of barrel probably where the foresight was removed, some 0000 wire wool soaked in gun oil will lift the rust the you can touch up the bluing if you wish, looks ok in the pics but as i said how it shoots counts.... is it possible for you to try a few shots with it? Whats the intended use?
secretagentmole
If it is an old one it is likely to be a Brummie made BSA, ie a real one not an El Gamo, so it will be much better and well worth restoring!
cliff 87
what should ask him i have ask if it fires and he said yes he shot a pigeon yesturday
fenboy
the supersport is a decent enough gun for hunting and its ok for the money being asked , but that extrafor the HW90 is worth it for me better quality ,better accuracy and a far far better trigger and no spring to weaken I personally would stump up the extra!
