mad1
evening all as you might know I am refurbishing my rizzini just to use mainly as a clay gun. I have been rubbing back the barrels as they have quite a lot of pitting on outside  Question is as I am a sprayer by trade would it be possible to powder them I have all the gear to mask and bung them off but I am concerned about the stoving of them it will take 15 mins at 180c would this affect the barrels at all has any one else got or seen them powdered.....Or shall I just keep on rubbing the marks out and get it blued many thanks m1
samyw
Yes the heat could cause the top and side ribs to come unsoldered with the in my opinion have them re acid blacked powder coating will chip off quiet easily with a little use hope this helps

Salopian
As a car sprayer you could consider spraying them with a two pack acylic?? I saw a gun that had the barrels sprayed metallic, Fern Green it was superb. The attraction to the owner was that it was free!
aister
i had two of my guns powder coated, an old side by side with some pitting and an old pump in the same sort of state, it didnt affect the soldering at all. the coating was fine for an old workhorse type of gun but not something you would do to your prize clay gun
