rubythedog
is shooting better the day after a heavy rain? i personaly never see many pigeons feeding in the rain, or flying for that matter! iv always thought that a constant days heavy raid keeps the birds roosted up and that the next day they will decoy a lot better coz there really hungry after missing a proper days feed! dos any one else think like this? or am i off the mark here! unapalomablanca
I always think it is, especially if youve got a bit of wind aswell! I still think pigeons get food but maybe not from the fields out in the pouring rain.
rubythedog
yea i also thought that they would get some sort of feed from the trees etc but not quit enough to make them feel happy, kinda hopeing it works this way as im out tomorrow over a late sown wheat feild that still has beens on show from harvest. one thing i do no helps is that a good rain can wash away the soil to show more grian/bean. hope there hungry, really could do with a good days sport.
