Not a lot of good for a 704 yard hare then! How would you know if you hit and "vaporised" it or if it just ran off after sticking two fingers up at you? cooter Posted November 5, 2011 Report Share Posted November 5, 2011 I've used the 50grn VG in the .223. You have to push them hard to get them to stabilise. They are ok out to 100yds, but they have a poor BC, so they open up after that. I found they only shoot well through a very clean barrel. I used them on rabbits and I never saw the same results as you see on the Barnes video. I got better results from 40grn V Max.
