smiiithy
I just searched in the Recipes Forum and got "No results found for 'pie'". Has anyone got a good recipe for game pie? At the minute all I've got in the freezer is a couple of pheasants and a medium sized rabbit. Does anyone use gelatine, sausage meat or black pudding? HW682
I think it's the wonderful site search engine. It doesn't allow 3 letter words. You could try "pies" over 400 hits or go to google and enter site:pigeonwatch.co.uk pie (over 3000 hits). There might be other work arounds, but that will get you started
ollie
http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/109313-game-pie/ Look at the 4th post on the above thread; I have posted this recipe many times and it has always got good feedback. Turns out really well if you follow the recipe.
aister
look at http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/gamepie_8555.shtml this is the recipe i use and we all like it. i once did it with, venison, hare, greylag, mallard, pheasant, wigeon, teal, golden plover, woodcock, snipe and rabbit it was huge. wish i hadn't put in the hare (artic hare), i think it was an old male, you could nearly taste it on the fork before it went in your mouth other than that it went down a treat. :good:
