Sm0kah
I have only been twice they do have a floodlit set up which is good. They do have a guy that does lessons (not 100 percent sure) as it was a card I was reading on the notice board. This is the club house number 0191 377 2412. Or there website is http://www.spennymoor-ctc.co.uk/index.htm hope it helps.

Peathag
Spennymoor - I shot there the other day, it is a good little ground with a lot to offer. It has four fully covered trap layouts, Sporting circuit, skeet and a new club house but no gun shop. The instructor is called Keith Stoker and he is highly qualified and very experienced. They run regular comps and have a sporting league - check out the webstie.
Alex C
I dont mean to upset any Spennymoor members but in my experience, its a bit clicky. We used to use it on a wed night for practice, but as soon as the nights darken its a waste of time. I am sure the trap and skeet layouts are ok under the lights, but the sporting is poor. The one and only time i tried the ball trap there i felt as welcome as a **** in a lift ! Not a place a newcomer would feel welcome to give it their first go. If you are from the north east my favorite grounds are Marne Barracks with Elton Moor in a close but more expensive second. There is also a good coach at Elton, look for JC Marsh sporting clays on google. Hope this helps
