kdubya
Well been round the gun shops today and seemed to have settled on a choice of two? two different shops, now the guns a winchester coyote lite stainless or a howa thumbhole heavy barrel varminter (stainless) all up with screw cutting and a t8 mod £20 difference in price both feel ok in the hand both well front heavy with the mod fitted, but as shooting will be from a pod or stick thats not a prob, so what do you reckon? the only thing making me "jump" at the winchester is the synthetic stock anyway anyone shot either so you can give me a real hands on opinion of accuracy, build quality etc? cheers KW
stirky
Howa rifles are getting very good reports from everyone i have talked to about them. I am thinking of selling my tikka595 and getting a howa soon. I have a friend who shoots a 22.250 howa and that shoots 1/2" groups at 100yds with factory ammo Never looked at winchester rifles so i cant comment on them. Devilishdave
The Coyote lite looks like a lot of rifle for the money. Dave

mry716
Not at all deadeye. I have had 4 Tikkas and sold them on as I couldn't get on with them . Howas - a different kettle of fish. At the price they are brilliant - well finished and better than anything else on the market at the price - look on Guntrader for pics of my 325WSM rebarreled Howa. Winchester. if you get a good one fine they are great rifles and considering they have now stopped making them get one whilst you have the chance. BUT get a 243WSSM The WSSM cartridges are a class apart and my Winchester Featherweight in 25WSSM is shooting 3/4" groups at 100yds with a new barrel and 120gr Factory Ammo. Absolutely chuffed to bits.
