Webley & Scott 812 FAC Conversion

Hi everyone. I've just got my FAC back with my Section 1 shotty slot, finally! Anyway I was always under the asumption that I could convert my standard 812 to FAC in a similar vein to an escort or benelli, simply by sending it to my gunsmith who would remove the crimp, magazine restrictor pin and then simply pop on a mag extension tube. Having read through other peoples post regarding magazine extensions for escorts, I knew they were a pig to locate but try getting one for a webley. I have spoken to Midway UK, TW Chambers and many others and shockingly TW Chambers told me it is impossible to convert a standard 812 to FAC. I find this hard to believe seeing as it's so easy for other makes. Can someone please advise me differently as he suggested my only option was to sell up and buy and FAC version from the factory. Cheers

Also FAC shotties are reasonably cheap secondhand as limited market you can pick up 5 shots for less than it may cost to convert your W&S if you want high capacity and value go for a US Remmy, Winny or Mossy as there are loads of cheap (in the US) off the shelf bits for them.

Is it for PSG or Vermin?

Akkar catalogue http://www.akkar-usa.com/ or main turkish site http://www.akkar.com.tr/eng/urunler.asp Don't Highland Outdoors own W&S now? http://www.highlandoutdoors.co.uk/WS812B28.html They would be the correct source of UK info.

Well i've spoken to Nordic Components the guys that make the after market extension tubes for most of the well known brands and I'm going to give them the thread and pitch spec for the magazine cap to see if one of the other brands tube extension will fit. It's going to be used for vermin and I was actually very surprised at how easily it was to obtain after reading other peoples woe's in trying to convince their FEO. I sent off my variation without any covering letter with explanation and it came back within 6 weeks all signed off.
