Gun Watch
Unknown Italian £130 12 gauge Shotgun Private Seller Used - Very Good Condition Bristol, Avon Side by Side, -, -, - barrels Description Hi all I need some space in my cabinet as I'm applying for my FAC, so my side by side has to go. I bought this from a local gun shop about 4 months ago, and have only used it twice - I prefer my OU. It's an Italian sxs 12 gauge, unknown make - if anyone recognises the makers symbol (a 5 pointed star within a shield) I'd be interested to know. Proof marks say the gun was made in 1982. 70mm chambers. I was told it was choked at 1/2 and 3/4, but both barrels have 18.4 stamped on them - I'm not sure if this means that both barrels have the same choke, or that both barrely have the same nominal diameter? (I think it's the latter). Double trigger, non-ejector. The woodwork is quite nice though it has the occasional cabinet mark. The barrels are in good shape too, though there's a wee bit of surface rust on the rib - I will have a go at this with some fine steel wool. The action has a nice design on the metalwork which extends on to the bottom of the trigger guard. I paid £130 for the gun, and would like to get the same amount back, or close to it... Gun is in Bristol. Could RFD, but that would cost at least £25 from my end and I'd rather you saw the gun before buying anyway. Any questions, please ask.
