Bigamos
Ok, my good friends land is in the perfect position for crows flying over to roost.... Sometimes they can be at shooting height, and sometimes there not....! Is it best to put some decoys down, to try and attract them in....? Or are they only interested in heading home...? Cheers
foghorn
Hi, In my opinion you will struggle to get them to decoy on their way to roost, they may well show some interest and have a look, but as the season goes on they become a very difficult quarry to shoot. The crows in my part of the country are the last to go to bed, often almost dark. Seagulls go first, although they dont roost in woods, followed by pigeon then the crows
kent
Yes it works, you don't need deycoys at all. On a flightline going home try and set up when its windy as they fly lower then, only shoot at what you can kill or you will only educate them - quickly! Expect to move the flightline after a few goes as they soon wise up. Best action is get a few good shooters on it as they come in bunches. I moved the flightline here for almost a full 12mnths but got plenty, its just returned but i cannot do them yet as i have a young Pup in the Kennels
