Hi Folks,

I have a good friend from Cumbria that I know through wildfowling. He has had a bad experience with TillHill in the past and had not shot a buck yet, so I offered to take him out. He set off from his house at 12:00 and I met him at Kinross at 03:30 this morning. We passes a VERY nice buck on the road into the farm, in the middle of a flowering rape field, chasing another small buck. I didnt think the farmer would be happy getting woken up at quarter to four in the morning so we left them too it. After getting geared up we were only a few hundred yards from the cars when we spotted a buck with 2 young does. My mate stalked in to about 80 yards and dropped him with a well placed heard shot. He was delighted with his first buck.

After a bit more walking through a birch plantation we came across another pair of does and a buck. The does were couching under some bushes but the buck was out in a grass patch browsing on some new bramble shoots. I dropped him on the spot with an 70 yard heart shot.

It was a great morning, in total we saw 13 Roe, 2 foxes and about 25 hares. The added bonus was it didnt rain once till we got back to the cars!

Cheers,

Mark
