cockercas
Just fixing my .410 got it laid out on the carpet and it got me thinking. If you took the shot out of the cartridge and replaced it with an ssg, what would happen. Would the Pressures be safe , would it be accurate, and would it be safe. fruitloop
id be thinking is it legal as a shotgun cart has a min of 5 peices of shot or moor eny less and it gose to fac regs so if you had 6 ssg in it thats ok (but dont know what the psi will be or if it will be safe that depends on the powder primer and wad ) Edited December 7, 2011 by fruitloop
M.I.A
Im sure i read that on a sec 2 you cant have shot size any bigger than 5 odd mm? Might be wrong im sure someone with more knowledge will put me right

cockercas
I'm not to bothered about legalitys. I'm not going to do it I have rifles to shoot things with. Just wondering
fruitloop
as i say depends on powder type and amount primer type and wad plastic or fiber and the load and closure of the cart all affects the speed and psi of the powder so without a idea what you have in the cart its a unknown ?? but say its a 13g load and you take the 13g of lead out and put 2g back in you might find that there is not enough weight to get a good burn on the powder for 1 ssg you will find that a primer on its self will get it out of the barrle
Guest cookoff013
it would be over pressure. legally should be 5 pieces of shot or more. none of which shall exceed 9.1mm. i wouldnt do it. if you really really really wanted to, buy the lyman book. they have buckshot loads in .410.
