Fingers in the face!

Hi,

About 5-7 years ago I owned a 687 O/U and shot clays around and about Herts. Short story, sold guns. Now just bought a second hand Winchester SX3 and took it out for the first time today. First stand 8 out of 10. Pleased, thinking I love this gun. That was about all I hit! Anyhow, after about twenty shells, I noticed that my fingers on the inside were wacking me in the lip and have caused a swelling. Never happened to me before.I ended up holding my fingers along the underside of the grip rather than around. What do we think, LOP to short? or have I forgotten how to mount?

Not shortened as far as I know. There is very little recoil I must say. It seems that my hand is just in the way. I shall add one of the spacers behind the pad to lengthen and put a shim in that lowers the comb.

and practice my mount.
