deer stalking in kent?

hi there. I'd like to try deer stalking, but havent any deer near me, or my fac yet. Im hoping to be able to afford to try it in early new year, but does anyonw know where it can be done close ish to canterbury? Are there any kent based deer shooters who would be able to take me out by any chance? And how much would i be looking at for use of a rifle a stalk, and an animal to take home?

You may struggle with anyone local as there aren't many deer in Kent s i understand it.

 

A paid day (two 3-4 hr stalks morning and evening) should cost you no more than £150 - £200, with the latter being top end, and the former "normal". You can use an estate rifle which should be at no extra cost. s for taking the deer you shoot home, you will normally be charged game dealer rtes for the meat wich is about a £1 a 1lb (head and feet off). So for a roe deer say about £35 - £40. This would be on top of the days outing.

 

I would suggest having a look at the stalking directory forum, they have a section in there for availability, and usually reasonable prices too.

Nearest reliable place for deer in Kent is Sussex, for some reason Munjac and CWD never made it this far in good numbers, i believe there are a few but a closely guarded secret (i only know of 3 largeish populations) hence why we have to hop over the border to sussex.
