flash Posted June 3, 2006 Report Share Posted June 3, 2006 my dad is looking to take our new lee enfield out on short siberia today and we are looking to buy dome surplus south african ammo at the NSC office for the ranges. i know it shouldnt be dangerous otherwise they wouldnt sell it. it is obviously full metal jacket as it is military ammo. i was wandering if ant of you have used these or know anything about them. they look a good deal at £21 for 11 cartridges. any help is welcomed. cheers flash Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A mate buys his .308 there and has never had a problem with it. it is less accurate than other rounds you can get, but for a bit of fun target shooting it is fine. Happy shooting. Rob. rarms Posted June 3, 2006 Report Share Posted June 3, 2006 Yes I have used some in my enfield, not particulalry accurate but good for plinking If you want accurate try Bisley Match RG ammo, £8 per 20 but mine will do 5 shots in an inch at 100 with it.
