marnold
Hi All. I am looking to extend my permissions in the Devon/Cornwall area and/or looking to find a shooting partner that would like to shoot with me and share permissions. If anyone is interested, please reply or PM me - that would be great. I can travel between the counties no problem. Anyway, looking forward to any replies - have a great xmas guys
Richard.Hosgood
I would love to take you up on the offer but cant offer a permission in return I'm afraid, so if you ever need a SGC holder to join you for something please get in touch! (p.s, looking at your signature, youve been waiting 2 months for a SGC from D&C - mine was done within 6 weeks, so that must be annoying!!) marnold
Hi smilersmiff. Thanks for the reply, and of course I'll give you a nod in the new year if that's ok? It's always a good idea to network and put heads together to get a good spread of land My in-laws actually own a 150 acre farm in Wales (llandrindod) which I shoot when we return home to visit (which isn't very often). Maybe we could all get together at some point in the new year and maybe get a club going? That way we could always have a fall back plan and arrange a good weekend a couple of times a year for small group of us willing to travel to and stay in Wales? Just an idea Edited December 23, 2011 by marnold
Rosebank22
Hi Marnold I see your in St Austell area, i'm in Roche. Do you shoot clays at all? Also if you still need a shooting partner then PM me. Im afraid I don't have any permissions yet but will be on the case when I get back from Kent. I have a potential in Devon that I need to see the farmer when I get back. I have had my licence for 6 months now and have had opportunity to shoot Duck and pigeon Rosebank22

Just an idea Hi Marnold, I think its a great idea that we all meet up, it would be good to put names to faces and exchange ideas. From what i can gather there are at least 3 or 4 of us who live fairly close together. Let me know if you come up with any ideas, perhaps meet up for a pint in the first instance ? Any good pubs in Bodmin that you can suggest we can meet? I wouldnt recommend the Bodmin Pubs...The Victoria is about a mile away from a clay ground..Just of the A30 near Roche...I reckon that would be the best bet...easy to find and within easy reach of the clay ground...Rosebank lives around the corner from there...Maybe he can shed some light on days/cost at watermeadow....
