I picked up a old bsa 177 air rifle a few weeks back i put a post on here trying to get some info,done a bit more research on the serial no and from 1914 to 1918 they ran from 65000 up to 80,000 the no on the gun is s76939 which puts it date of manufacture probably 1918,the no s denotes a double sear trigger not to sure i was going to keep it but now i have more on the history i am going to keep it and enjoy shooting it its a part of a bygone age when britain made things to last. :good:
