Rosebank22
Hi everyone I am hoping that someone can help put my mind at ease. I have an 18 month lab that I first took out on the field last week. A few people have said that she is too old to do further gun training (she has been introduced to the gun, basic obiedience and whistle work). She has been very exciteable up til the last 2 months whenever the gun was out or training was starting. So my partner and I just concentrated on the basics (which to be honest we need to revisit). She has done a little dummy work but I want to move her onto full retrieving in the future...is it too late?? or is it a case of just building on what we have started and it takes aslong as it takes and age doesnt come into it? Many thanks Rosebank22
MiLisCer
Of course it is not! Enjoy her and let her learn at her own pace Mike
garyb
Not a problem at all.. But! those "basics" are the most important parts of onward training, don't move on till you have them cracked. Good luck
