Hamster
do the non flock coated decoys work as i have seen a few for sale for cheap? is it only when they are wet they shine ? do they work I used to use copydex to stick real feathers (the whole cut wing suitably dried or injected with formaldehyde) to the back of these plastics deeks and they worked better that way. Once wet or if it's sunny they really can be a pain. Flocks are much better but nothing beats dead birds .
Frenchieboy
I haven't tried it myself so I don't know if this might make any difference - Has anyone ever tried spraying them with a Matt varnish to take the shine off plastic non flocked decoys? Just a thought without meaning to hijack the thread.
paul hart
With plastic shells best to let sun fade them, then with very fine wet and dry paper just go over them gently that takes shine off,as most of you know me and i sell 1000s of each every year this does work.
