rarms
I have an 11 week old springer pup, she is sort of house trained, (i.e. she will usually go outside but we do have accidents) but she seems to have a problem holding it in when she gets exited, is this normal at this age? When I get in she will run up to me and let rip on the way to me and all over my shoes if I don't grab her in time, any ideas? Thanks Kyle
Fisherman Mike
Welcome to the joys of Springer ownership... shes just greeting you in the normal way, I suspect you will find that she will do it when you come to take her out. They have very little capacity in the bladder at that age and even less control, it will improve but not for some time Im afraid, my Dog did it for over 12 months. FM. They are not called Springers for their jumping ability you know
mag-man
As mike says. is more natural, more from excitment than actually having a ****.

Slipster
rarms Try this, as soon as you go in turn her round so she is facing away from you put your hand under her chest and lift her front legs off the floor and fuss her tummy. Hey presto no pe wee or at least it works on my 4yr old JRT dog
