darebear
well now..... download '06. what an experience although, if someone could've turned off the heat i'd have been a LOT happier. i cant remember this country being so damned hot. in saying that, camping would've been a lot worse had it of rained, so i shouldnt complain really. everyone was really friendly, the atmosphere was electric, and the music was out of this world. highlights for me? stonesour, tool, and metallica. o, and corey taylor sang with korn because their front man jonathan had been hospitalised in london and wasnt allowed out. that was amazing. other bands worth giving a mention had to be soulfly, coheed and cambria, alice in chains, avenged sevenfold, trivium, 36 crazyfists, lacuna coil, cradle of filfth, bullet for my valentine and funeral for a friend. disappointment? guns n roses. wow. i guess i should have expected it really. and it was pointless trying to get up to the snickers stage to see the prodigy as people were complaining it was so packed up there they came back because they couldnt get anywhere near. blah. o well. and the only negatives of the weekend? festival toilets. OH MY GOD EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW roll on download '
Natures_son
My mates said it was awesome as well. Out of interest what did you think of GNR?
darebear
guns n roses.... they had a few technical difficulties which didnt get them off to a good start. but to be honest, although i still think hes good, he just cant hit some of the notes like he used to, and it kinda spoils it. and they seriously dont need three lead guitars, and i got seriously bored with all the piano playing and numerous guitar solos. prolly to allow axl to go back stage and suck on some oxygen. i've got tickets to go see them in newcastle in july, so we'll see how it goes there. Markio
Looks good. The only metal festival i did was Donnington on 1992 (i think). Did four V festivals whole weekends 99-02 but too tired for all that now. Anymore than 4 pints now and i'd been in the tent all day moaning about a hangover. Those pics do remind me of it all, good stuff mate!
paulos
i dont think guns n roses will ever be the same as with the old crew velvet revolver though saw them in newcastle last year and was blown away! was mad for seeing guns next month, but at 40 rips per ticket it aint happening :(
Natures_son
Found out today apparently the technical difficulties was old axle throwing a strop because his ear piece wasnt good enough
