notsosureshot
Hi all, I gave the beretta a good clean and a light oil last night. I stripped each component down and lightly lubed it with wipes which gives a nice thin coat, I thought this would cure it but apparently not. The action stills squeeks a bit when I draw back the bolt. This must be down to lubrication. Now, being a fan of lubrication in the right places (dont say it..).... I was wondering if anyone who owned this model has an idea of the lubrication points and the type of lube to use? Grease tends to be very sticky but will oil alone get rid of such a squeek if its coming from the bolt carrier, forgive my ignorance of the exact terminology. The manual is a little vague, as am I, it seems. Cheers.
chris t
It's not a squeak coming from the recoil spring inside it's tube in the stock is it? If so could be some rust or something in there... When was it last replaced? Edited February 1, 2012 by chris t
notsosureshot
No idea but sounds like a good idea to check it. Thanks mate. Now to figure out how to access it...haha

Already had it stripped down and bits fell apart, good job I was OK at meccano as a kid as I got it back together eventually, but this will help for the future. Thank you. chris t
Someone on here will tell you better than me, But you take the recoil pad off, undo the nut on the end of the tube, (remember how you do this for later) Take off the bits and pieces off the end and I think the stock may come off then. Then I think you have to put something in the end of the tube to hold the spring back while you undo the end. Be careful as it's all under spring pressure. If the spring has not been replaced for a long time, might be wise to replace the spring anyway. A gunsmith will probably get a spring and replace it while you wait.
