elowarr
How about this, from the time me and my mate posted our applications to recieving our certs 20 days!!! well pleased, This weekend gonna get a .22 CZ american 16" bolt action and maybe a new scope if funds will allow. i'm still going to keep the S410 I think theres a place for it in the cabinet as we have a chance of some barn ratting in the winter. arjimlad
That's mega fast ! You are right to keep your S410. There are ample opportunities for air rifles on most shoots, where a rimmy will be totally out of the question. I like my CZ very much. Rather too much according to the Mrs ! elowarr
Well I went and bought my new gun not the 16" CZ American like I said I was going to get because it was out of stock So i opted for the 20" American instead I'm glad I did now, I also bought a Harris swivel Bipod and a SAK mod and it all looks in proportion, I think if iI went for the 16" the legs of the bipod would be level with the end of the mod making it look too front heavy, anyway because the 16" I wanted wasn't in stock I was offered a discount and a spare mag on the the one I bought. My ticket also covers me for a 17hmr and mod so maybe later on I will get a 16" 17hmr. So after a short sighting session at 50-60yds I was getting some good groups using Eley/Winchester subs I also tried a few of the CCI subs and Mags that my mate had with him and they were all over the place! although I bought 100 of each when I bought my gun I have not opened them and they will be going back to be exchanged for Eleys. While I was sighting up a Rabbit popped out from the hedge 5 yds or so behind my sighting target and it was dispatched with a single shot to the head, bearing in mind that I have shot plenty of rabbits with my AA S410 I know what to expect when you look at what youv'e shot, I went to see where I had hit it there was a hole right behind it's eye and when i turned it over half it's head and ear was missing!!!. Now I'm thinking if a .22 can do this sort of damage what effect will a 17 hmr have??. See what i mean about the shorter barrel and the bipod
