What tyres on your jimny ?

Currently our Jimny is wearing Bridgestone duelers which touch wood have been great in the ice and snow but they havent really done much work in the mud and am concerned about this ! I am considering leving the Duelers on the front with plenty of tred on them and getting something more aggressive for the rear for when in mud !

I dont mind a little road noise as journeys are never that long but what should I be looking at ? 90% + of my driving is on the roand on sub 10mile journeys but occasionally for shooting i use it on wet muddy grond and on soft mud around Moto-X tracks.

I dont want to spend a fortune either ! I had found some i liked at the MGF but iv lost the leaflet !

So what do you have on your Jimny or what do you recomend ?

Hi mate, I bought a set of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170766482951?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 about 18 months ago (a pair for the rear wheels). They performed well, so I bought another pair. Tread still looking good.

I got a local garage to fit them for me - Think it was £25 for the two, but they tyres were £98 delivered then.

Still excellent value, decently chunky without going overboard.

What sort of price Chris ?

Around the £100 per tyre mark.

General and Hankook do a similar tread pattern tyre for less . . . .

I was given my BFG's about 3 years ago, the person I got them off had them on his jimny for a few years previously. They still have loads of tread left.

£100 odd per tyre sounds allot, but considering they are around 5+ years old, its money well spent and I will definitely be getting some more when the time comes :good:
