Mark-70
Surefire EP6 or EP3 are the most comfortable ear plug I've found. According to the website the forces use them too. I also use them for work they are that comfortable. About £15 - £20 I think depending where you order them.
station
If you are after the in ear moulded type - Of all the places I found the best was Boots ! Google them and you will find that their hearing section is part of the David Ormerod group. I had the impressions taken then they are sent to their labs where the plugs are made with the sonic valves fitted. You have a choice of a dozen or so colours to choose from and the valves are specific for shoting. One tip as well is to register online (free) with Boots Hearing Care Club, and you get a good discount off you purchase. I think mine should have been £114 and I paid £84 and they fit and feel superb. You can get them done at game fairs for aound £65 - so a mate told me. It's just the timing and convenience, plus if you have any trouble you can get them sorted locally at Boots. Hope this is of use to you and others. Oly
Emtec noisebreakers near Shrewsbury are worth.the 80 quid too
mattslaptop247
I got some with a valve in them. It enables you to hear folk talk but not gunfire or loud impulse sounds. Not tried them out yet as i only got them the other day, but not badly priced at ten to fifteen quid on ebay. I think they are called shooters aid. huffhuff
I paid about £70 for mine. I had them moulded when at the Newark Country show a few (y)ears back. The company was called www.plugzz.co.uk. I recently lost one, a quick call and three days later I had the replacement. Amazing they still had the original moulds 3 years later. Good service Similar to what Boots said - If I need more or replacements then the impression is laser scanned and kept on file. Damm Clever Stuff !
