Beardo
i'm not sure if it's illegal but it's certainly dubious... pigeons may be shot under the General License for crop control reasons - luring pigeons using a feeder goes against the whole principal! Fisherman Mike
The yanks use them for attracting Turkey and White Tailed deer to a spot where they can easily be shot. ( sporting those southern state inbreds ) Over here Im afraid they are strictly illegal and no proper sportsman would consider using one. Incidently putting out a bird feeder and shooting wild birds which are attracted to it is an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside act Strange post for a first one and we will put it down to inexperience.
