Should have been a good day roost shooting

We were in position by 1:30pm at Grimsthorpe Estate for week two of four of the annual Pigeon Shoot. Although the temperature was colder (had been -16 at 5am) than last week it actually felt warmer as there was no breeze at all and Ians home brew Sloe Gin touched all the rights spots. The shooting wasn't as bad as last week, maybe that was due to not having 4 cowboys in the next wood who thought they could hit 200yard pigeons. I finished up with 5, not bad for there but I missed a few. Why is it every time I get a drink from my flask there's all of a sudden a bunch comes in! As there was no wind at all today the pigeons were coming in from all directions, but all 5 were good birds.

The other 2 guys with me also did ok, Ian had 3 greys, 1 rat and one pigeon and Carl had 4 pigeons.
