dodgy e-mails

selling my car on the autotrader website this week, and just recieved this e-mail.

Just wanted to clarify this as a scam, and wondered if any one else has recieved anything like this.

There is 9 pics of the car on the website so why would any genuine person ask for any more?

Am from spain and am so much intrested in buying

your car for my son in law school ok ,please keep it

for me and dont sell it out because am ready to buy it

now .My shipping company will be responsible for the pick

up /change of ownership of the car after payment(bank

draft) has cleared to your account , please get back to

me with the condition and also any available picture of the

car , hope to hear from you soon ,thanks

Deffo scam usually pay you more than what you are asking and then ask for the balance. You'll find that the cheque/draft has been stolen but it does take a while for this to happen at the bank, most banks now will credit you with the money but cheques still take around 30 days to fully clear. Once it is found to be stolen they will take the money back from you and then you are out of pocket and have no car.
