remmy1100
call from a farmers friend yesterday saw me out shooting over some paddock fields last night arrived at 8.pm as arranged having sorted out written permission and having landed added to my file by my excellent firearms dept during the day doing a walk around and some range lazering there was loads of hot spots (poi`s) of activity so looked promising. first scan with nv lit up numerous sets of eyes at first poi after some quick cycling of bolt i was off to great start with 3 rabbits accounted for scattering several more to bottom of embankment where i accounted for another rabbit another scan showed two more rabbits at 2nd poi 60 yds away of which one was taken with swift headshot 4 rabbits in less than 5 mins was looking good moved further down field to next spot 3 rabbits sitting out from hedge at 65 yards pop.pop and two more in rear basket . a rabbit that had been in cover then burst into field stopping 40yds away from me a quick shot added him also 7 down next spot suprisingly there was no rabbits out and next then spotted reason why mr fox off over a bank neadless to say nothing else in this paddock.off to next and all was good he hadnt visited here entered field quickly spotting several customers at various ranges few shots pushed bag up by further 4 moving along numerous rabbits were spotted but due to location ect could not be taken.at bottom is best poi a bank riddled with holes the nv quickly lit up the inhabitants 4 of whoms homes are now vacant...by now it was 10pm time flies by when your out. 15 rabbits in rear basket and time for home.returned to farmhouse as requested a happy farmer handed me a map and two keys for the gates to the farms other 850 acres going to get ontop of paddocks first as horses are going back in in couple of weeks .my farmer told me today nobody has shot there for 5 years since farmer caught last lad helping himself to diesel from his tank

remmy1100
spot on mate, nice write up, not keyed up on NV any info in laymans terms would be great the nv is a addon type which fits on rear of your scope so you can remove and still have day use of your scope ,the nv has a onboard infared light which nv needs to see the one on these nvs is pants.so a extra source of infared light is needed wheather it a lamp with filter or dedicated lazer light which i have gives you far greater viewing.the light provided by these sources is invisible to the eye but is clearly saw in nv addon giving you totally stealthy shooting without spooking prey with normal lamps ect . Will perhaps help me to keep the numbers down. Thanks for the reply. Schmoo.
